Give me a break
A message to CNN, MSNBC (the news stations to which I listen) and any others news stations guilty of this practice:
When reporting on important, significant news of the day regarding the president, his family, and members of his administration, please discontinue the practice of showing a split screen with a video of Donald Trump or even a still photo of him. Photos and videos of him are a serious distraction and take away from the important message of the news that is being reported.
The exception to this rule is when a video or a sound bite is used to show a contradiction to what was said previously (like the wiretap dancing) and what he is saying in the news item now. Thanks.
