Motorist speeding cameras needed

I’ve never seen so much speeding and at dangerous levels. I-40’s and I-85’s limits are a farce. I routinely see vehicles going 90 mph or higher while I’m poking along in the right hand “slow lane” at 70 mph.

I’m clearly not perfect when it comes to this, but I don’t go excessively over the limit. The many local highways like N.C. 54, U.S. 15-501, U.S. 70, and N.C. 147 have their share of excessive speeders as well.

By installing speeding cameras that allow for a mailed citation with unpaid consequences, the roads and public safety will improve while providing local governments with much needed revenues. It’s a win-win for the greater collective.
