Air quality alert issued for Eastern North Carolina until early Saturday

The NWS Wakefield VA reported an air quality alert at 11:32 a.m. on Friday in effect until Saturday at midnight. The alert is for Western Currituck and Eastern Currituck as well as Gates, Pasquotank, Camden, Chowan and Perquimans counties.
"The North Carolina Division of Air Quality has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert across northeast North Carolina, for Fine Particulates, until midnight tonight," says the NWS.
This alert is in effect until Saturday at midnight.
