A heat advisory was released by the NWS Raleigh NC on Friday at 2:26 a.m. valid between noon and 9 p.m. The advisory is for Warren, Halifax, Franklin, Nash and Edgecombe counties.
The NWS informs, "Heat index values up to 105 degrees expected."
