UPDATE: Air quality alert in place for the Piedmont region until Thursday evening

At 4:22 p.m. on Thursday, the NWS Raleigh NC reported an updated air quality alert in effect until 8:15 p.m. The alert is for Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davidson and Randolph counties.
"The Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection in Winston Salem NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, until 8 p.m. this evening and again on Friday from 10 a.m until 8 p.m.," describes the NWS.
This alert is in effect until 8:15 p.m.
