On Thursday at 12:38 p.m. a heat advisory was issued by the NWS Raleigh NC valid for Friday between noon and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Edgecombe, Johnston, Wilson, Harnett, Wayne, Scotland, Hoke, Cumberland and Sampson counties.
