The warning was in place for Hertford and Northampton counties.
"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. for northeastern North Carolina," according to the NWS Wakefield VA.
The warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m.
