The warning was for Chatham and Randolph counties.
"The storm which prompted the warning is moving out of the warning area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, this storm may produce winds of 40 to 50 mph as it moves into north central Chatham county," according to the NWS Raleigh NC.
The warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m.
