Heat advisory affecting Northwest Piedmont until Friday evening

On Friday at 1:05 a.m. the NWS Blacksburg VA issued a heat advisory valid between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Stokes, Rockingham and Caswell counties.
The NWS informs, "Heat index values up to 105 degrees possible."
"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses," describes the NWS.
This advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
