Air quality alert for the Piedmont region until early Saturday

On Thursday at 2:35 p.m. an air quality alert was reported by the NWS Raleigh NC in effect until Saturday at midnight. The alert is for Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davidson and Randolph counties.
"The Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection in Winston Salem NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, from midnight tonight to midnight Friday night," according to the NWS.
This alert is in effect until Saturday at midnight.
