Air quality alert for Northwest Piedmont until early Friday

An air quality alert was reported by the NWS Blacksburg VA on Thursday at 2:22 p.m. in effect until Friday at 12:30 a.m. The alert is for Stokes, Rockingham and Caswell counties.

"Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection Winston-Salem NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Stokes, Rockingham and Caswell counties for Ground Level Ozone, from midnight tonight to midnight Friday night," explains the NWS.

This alert is in effect until Friday at 12:30 a.m.
