High surf advisory issued for Eastern Currituck until early Monday morning

On Sunday at 3:08 p.m. the NWS Wakefield VA issued a high surf advisory in effect until Monday at 4 a.m. for Eastern Currituck.
The NWS informs, "Large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet in the surf zone."
"Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion," comments the NWS. "Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions."
This advisory is in effect until Monday at 4 a.m.
