This McDonald’s breakfast classic is $1 for one day only. When to get it in NC
McDonald’s Egg McMuffin Day is back, and you can score the breakfast classic for just a buck.
On Monday, March 2, customers in North Carolina and nationwide can get a classic Egg McMuffin or Sausage McMuffin with egg for $1 when they order in the McDonald’s app.
The offer is available during breakfast hours only, and no additional purchase is required, according to the fast food giant.
Inspired by the classic eggs Benedict, McDonald’s egg McMuffin comes with a cage-free egg, Canadian bacon, cheese and butter on a toasted English muffin. It was the brainchild of California franchisee Herb Peterson in 1971, but it didn’t launch nationwide until 1975, according to the restaurant chain.
“It’s been remarkable to see people embrace this innovation over the last five decades, and now we get to share that heritage with a new generation of breakfast fans,” Peterson’s son, David Peterson, said last year as McDonald’s celebrated 50 years of the beloved breakfast sandwich.
How much is an egg McMuffin?
On average, a classic McDonald’s Egg McMuffin costs $4.29, while the Sausage McMuffin with egg is priced around $6.59, according to an online menu tracker.
Because individual franchisees set their own prices, you may pay more or less based on location.
When does McDonald’s breakfast end?
Most McDonald’s restaurants serve breakfast from open until 10:30 or 11 a.m.
