Bojangles’ fans, this one’s for you: Fried chicken chain expanding to four more states

Beloved fast food chain Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits is expanding its reach into four more states.

The franchise is set to open 40 new restaurants inside Love’s Travel Stops in Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi and Oklahoma thanks to a partnership between the two companies, Bojangles’ announced on Tuesday.

Chief Development Officer for Bojangles Jose Costa says the company is trying to better accommodate Bojangles’ fans on the road.

“We know that Bojangles’ fans are frequently on the road for work, managing family activities or getting ready for tailgating adventures,” he said in a news release. “Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, we want to be able to combine a great Southern meal with a fast and easy way to refuel and get back on the road.”

Love’s employees will be trained by Bojangles’ to ensure “fans receive the familiar high-quality menu items they know and love,” the release said.

Love’s Travel Stops is headquartered in Oklahoma and has locations in 41 states, the release said.

Joe Cotton, director of restaurant services for Love’s, says he’s thrilled to bring Bojangles’ “home.”

“We are excited to offer our customers another delicious and fresh food option while they’re on the road,” he said in the release. “Bringing Bojangles’ to our home state of Oklahoma along with Arkansas, Mississippi and Illinois is something we’re happy to be a part of.”

Bojangles’ fans are passionate ones, often taking to social media to share their love of the chicken chain.

“I hate how I wake up most mornings thinking about Bojangles’ and the next time I can eat it,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Got hella Bojangles’ french fry seasoning and I’m giving it out as Christmas presents. Y’all are welcome,” wrote another.

“All I can think about is this Bojangles’ I’m about to smash.”

Bojangles was founded in North Carolina in 1977 and currently has 745 restaurants across the eastern U.S..
