McDonald’s teases ‘reimagined’ twist on the Big Mac. Here’s when you can get it
McDonald’s is finally bringing its Chicken Big Mac stateside.
Customers can get their first bites beginning Thursday, Oct. 10, at restaurants nationwide, for a limited time, according to the Chicago-based fast-food chain.
A “reimagined” twist on the classic Big Mac, the colossal sandwich features ingredients similar to the original: two tempura-breaded chicken patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese and pickles on a sesame seed bun.
You won’t find any onions on it, though.
The Chicken Big Mac has appeared on menus internationally, and this will be its first foray into U.S. markets, McDonald’s said in a news release.
In September, the fast-food giant teased the sandwich at a Los Angeles pop-up dubbed “McDonnell’s” for one day only, the release said. Customers got to try a featured “chicken sandwich” alongside other offerings including beef tallow fries and fried apple pie.
“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items ... and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans,” Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s USA, said in the release.
Pricing and nutritional information weren’t immediately available.
