A discovery made by children fishing at a Pennsylvania reservoir prompted a police presence and death investigation.

The Highspire Borough Police Department said officers were sent to Reservoir Park in Harrisburg on Thursday, June 22, when the kids found “bones in a heavily wooded” area of the park.

The bones were determined to be human remains, but they have not been identified.

Police said an investigation is ongoing as the scene is being processed.

At 90 acres, Reservoir Park is “the largest park in south-Central Pennsylvania,” according to the Historical Marker Database.
