‘Massive buck’ wanders into a garage, gets stuck, video shows. ‘You’re drunk, go home’
A buck was freed from a woman’s garage after it wandered inside and got stuck, according to Arkansas city officials.
The city of Benton shared video to Facebook on Tuesday, Nov. 15, of the close encounter an animal control officer had with the deer.
“I’m thinking she maybe had seen something she thought was a deer, she heard a noise that was a raccoon, something like that, but yeah,” Joseph Mills, a Benton animal control officer, told KARK. “We walked in and there is an actual 8-point buck standing in the garage.”
The video begins with Mills grabbing one of the buck’s antlers, helping free it from a shelving rack.
The buck then stood in front of a parked car and even pried open a refrigerator door.
“You’re drunk, go home,” a woman is heard saying as the startled deer stood nearly motionless in front of the vehicle.
Described by Benton officials as a “massive buck,” the creature was eventually freed and it ran off “relatively unharmed.”
Mills told KARK it’s likely the only time he’ll ever “get to pet a wild buck.”
Benton is about 25 miles southwest of Little Rock.
