Something called “The Room”.

When first glancing over the photos on Zillow.com, you’d think the name was referring to a sophisticated library that would make Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” swoon with wonderment. But you have to read the listing carefully:

“Just beyond the impressive library you will find what is affectionately called The Room,” the listing on Zillow.com says.

And it’s one huge room that appears to the world’s largest Barnes & Noble — minus the books. “Over 2,000-square-feet of air-conditioned space with 16’ ceilings,” the listing details.

The popular social media real estate page Zillow Gone Wild was also somewhat mixed up about “The Room,” but fans appear to have many opinions about the rest of the home.

“Oh my... I need to transport that library to my backyard. I could fit ALL my books plus,” one person wrote.

“But, does anyone else feel like this house was built from the same material they use at Ikea?” someone else said. “The white walls and all the wood being that light birch color is just too much. Maybe they had super colorful furniture or art or something??”

“All I see when I look at these pictures is dusting,” another pointed out. “By the time all the shelves are dusted, it’s time to dust again.”

Some folks who took the 3D tour noticed that there was a barricaded door just beyond the library itself, but according to the floorplan, it appears to just be a door leading outside.

McClatchy News has reached out to the listing agent and is awaiting a reply.

Placerville is about 45 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The listing is held by Kelli Griggs with Navigate Realty.
