Where’s Dr Pepper? There’s a shortage — and people aren’t taking it well
If you’ve been searching high and low for Dr Pepper but coming up empty, the soda company has an answer — but it may not be what you want to hear.
There’s a shortage.
Dr Pepper announced the news on Twitter Monday.
“We know it’s harder to find Dr Pepper these days. We’re working on it – hang tight!”
The beverage company added that it’s doing everything in its power to get Dr Pepper products back on shelves.
“This means working with our distribution partners to keep shelves stocked nationwide, while ensuring the safety of our employees,” the company said.
Dr Pepper didn’t give details as to what’s causing the shortage but said all flavors have been affected.
When Dr Pepper fans heard the news, they took to social media to lament the shortage and pledge their allegiance to the beloved 23 flavors.
Speaking of toilet paper, a brand that knows a little something about shortages responded to Dr Pepper to offer a little empathy.
“Welcome to the club,” Charmin tweeted. “We feel your pain.”
Dr Pepper responded that the two brands are “in this together.”
