Sharon Stone made a Bumble profile. But no one believed her — not even the dating app

If you saw actress Sharon Stone on a dating app, would you believe it was really the Oscar-nominated star of “Casino” and “Basic Instinct?”

Stone, 61, ran into that problem when she created a profile on Bumble, a dating app in which only women can make the first contact with potential partners, CNN reports.

“I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account,” Stone posted Sunday on Twitter. “Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary ? Don’t shut me out of the hive.”

Stone followed up with a Twitter post showing the Bumble notice that her account had been shut down for having a fake profile.

Bumble responded Monday morning on Twitter to assure Stone that her account had been reopened.

“There can only be one (queen) Stone,” the reply on Twitter reads. “Looks like our users thought you were too good to be true. We’ve made sure that you won’t be blocked again. We hope that everyone in our community takes a sec to verify their profiles. (Catherine Tramell from Basic Instinct gets a pass today!)”

Stone played the murderous Tramell in the 1992 thriller, which also starred Michael Douglas.

“Thanks for bearing with us and hope you find your honey,” added Clare O’Connor at Bumble in another Twitter post.

Stone has been married twice, first to producer Michael Greenburg and then to journalist Phil Bronstein, whom she divorced in 2004, BBC News reported.

“Aaaaaand im officially giving Bumble another try,” read one reply on Twitter to Stone’s post.
