Correction: Wreck snarls I-40 traffic near Durham
A wreck on Interstate 40 West near Durham has caused a traffic jam Saturday evening.
Authorities responded to the accident, which was reported near mile marker 272, shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to multiple media reports.
All westbound lanes on I-40 were closed near Exit 270 (US-15/501).
The lanes may reopen around 6:30 p.m., according to NC DOT officials.
