Winter wonderland. Snow closes schools, snarls traffic

With schools closed Thursday after the first snowfall of the year, staff photographers Bernard Thomas and Casey Toth of The Herald-Sun were out and about capturing images of kids playing in the white stuff and having an overall good time.

Businesses and government were mainly operating normally or on delayed opening schedules.
