U.S. Marshals charge 1 man with attempted murder, seeking others in Durham shooting
Police charged a man Wednesday with attempted murder in a Nov. 14 shooting on South Hoover Road.
The U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested Daiquan Lea McCallum, 20, in the 300 block of Avon Lake Drive. McCallum was charged with attempted first-degree murder and taken to the Durham County Jail.
Investigators are trying to locate Hashiem Smith, 20, and Brandon Perry, 21, who also are wanted for attempted first-degree murder. Smith is also wanted for a felony probation violation charge.
The shooting happened around 6:41 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 1100 block of South Hoover Road, where officers found a 22-year-old man who had been shot several times, police reported. The victim, who recovering from his injuries, was sitting on a porch when several men dressed in black approached him and fired several shots, they said.
