UNC police investigate robbery near Old Well

UNC Police are investigating a reported robbery near the Old Well on the UNC campus.

The robbery occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to a report from Alert Carolina. A UNC student, a woman, was walking with a friend along Cameron Avenue when she was approached by a black male suspect, about 5-10 in height with a slim build. The suspect assaulted the victim and took her purse, then fled in the direction of Franklin Street.

The individual was wearing a black zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and a black hat. No weapon was reported.
