Durham police looking for 2 women charged in ‘Bojangles bandit’ case

Police are seeking two people in connection with a November armed robbery at the Bojangles restaurant on Guess Road.

Investigators have obtained arrest warrants for Tiffany Springfield, 32, and Jamie Monique Belcher, 24, charging them with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, police reported.

The armed robbery occurred around 11:15 a.m. Nov. 28 in the parking lot of Bojangles at 2801 Guess Road. Police initially responded to a shooting call, but found out after they arrived that the victim was hit on the head with a blunt object. No one had been shot, police said.

The injured man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he was outside a car in the parking lot when he was robbed at gunpoint. Investigators have said they do not think the incident was random.
