Durham police seeking Bojangles’ bandit after parking lot robbery

Durham police investigators are asking for information about an armed robbery on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of Bojangles at 2801 Guess Road.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at that location at 11:15 a.m. When they arrived, they determined that no one had been shot, but the victim had been hit on the head with a blunt object.

The injured man was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

The man was outside of a vehicle in the parking lot when he was robbed at gunpoint. Investigators said they do not think the incident was random.

No charges have been filed and no further details are available at this time.
