Durham police are investigating a bank robbery Thursday at a branch of Wells Fargo Bank at 900 West Club Boulevard near Northgate Mall.
Police said a man entered the bank around 3:15 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man implied he had a gun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot.
Police described the suspect as a tall black male who was 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and a gray hat.
Police were on the scene at about 3:30 p.m. They roped off the bank and its parking lot with a police crime scene tape cordon.
