Investigators from the Durham Police Department’s Robbery Task Force are trying to identify two men who robbed the Subway restaurant at 401 E. Lakewood Ave. Sept. 5.

The two men entered the business together shortly before 6:45 p.m. A man in dark clothing ordered a cookie while a second man wearing a red hat pulled out a silver revolver and pointed it at the manager while the manager was opening the cash register, according to a police report. The two men grabbed money from the register and ran from the business.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Investigator C. Robinson at 919-560-4440, ext. 29415 or CrimeStoppers at 919-683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
