Police arrested a man over the weekend in connection with the shooting of a Durham 14-year-old last week.
Police investigators charged Tyrie Dylon Thomas, 19, of Durham with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in connection with this case.
Thomas was stopped by Apex police officers on Saturday and charged by Apex Police Department with possession of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed gun. The gun was reported stolen in in Houston, Texas in 1979.
He was placed in Wake County jail under a $90,000 bond.

A14-year-old male was seriously injured after being shot June 13, police said
The shooting happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Kilarney Drive. The male was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
