Rewards offered for information in two unsolved Durham homicides
CrimeStoppers rewards are being offered for information leading to an arrest or arrests in a pair of Durham homicides that occurred last year.
Rewards are being offered in the Sept. 12 fatal shooting of 34-year-old Larry Donnell Owens in the 900 block of East Main Street and the Dec. 22 shooting death of Jerod Long in the Cherry Creek Drive, Longmont Drive area.
In the Owens homicide, police responded to a shooting call shortly after 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 and found Owens lying on a sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the December homicide, Long, 38, of Moneta Way, was shot shortly before 5 p.m. on Dec. 22. Officers responding to a "subject shot" call found him lying by the road near the Haven at Research Triangle Park apartment complex. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe he was walking his dog when he was shot multiple times.
