Car rear-ends semitractor-trailer parked along I-40. Driver dies.
A man died early Saturday after the car he was driving slammed into the back of a semitractor-trailer parked alongside I-40 near South Miami Boulevard in Durham, police said.
The man was driving a 2012 Honda Accord and was not wearing a seatbelt, police said in a release Saturday morning.
The truck driver was in the cab of the vehicle when the Honda crashed into the trailer. He was not injured.
Police said speed was believed to be a factor in the crash. They are still investigating.
