Avoid I-40 Wade Avenue exit. Four-vehicle crash shuts down interstate ramp Thursday
A crash has closed the Wade Avenue exit ramp off Interstate 40 Thursday morning.
The Raleigh Police Department responded to the crash at exit 289 shortly before 9 a.m.
It involved four vehicles, and one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Traffic impact is high, according to an N.C. Department of Transportation alert.
Work to clear the wreck and reopen the ramp is currently expected to take until 11 a.m.
