Raleigh police have identified 32-year-old Babacar Mboup as the victim of a single car fatal crash on Sunday evening.

Raleigh police have identified a 32-year-old who was killed in a single-car crash on Sunday.

Shortly before 5 p.m., a 2015 Infinity Q50 was heading east on Corporation Parkway in Raleigh when the driver veered right and crashed into a tree, according to a statement from police.

On Monday morning, police identified the driver as 32-year-old Babacar Mboup, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said speed contributed to the crash but did not say whether Mboup was wearing a seat belt.

No one else was injured, according to police.
