Fiery wreck kills two on Interstate 40 near Garner
A crash killed two people on Interstate 40 early Thursday, blocking all lanes of the highway moving east, ABC11 reported.
Police reported the wreck near the Clayton Bypass. Traffic was moving slowly, even in westbound lanes, according to the N&O’s media partner. But authorities reported the scene had been cleared.
Weather reports indicated dime-sized hail falling in the area. NC 50 has been suggested as an alternate route.
