A major Triangle festival and event has canceled its plans this weekend over fears of the coronavirus.

The 2020 International Festival has postponed its weekend festivities at least a year for the safety of its attendees and participants, according to the festival’s website.

The 34th annual event was originally planned for this weekend at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.

“Due to the possible risk of virus spread, we have decided to postpone this year’s event,” according to the festival’s website.
