Durham police identify man found shot to death on East Cornwallis Road
Police have identified the man found shot to death Sunday evening in the 100 block of East Cornwallis Road.
The body of Ricky Lynn Yates, 45, of Durham was found outdoors about 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Durham police have labeled his death a homicide.
No one has been charged in the case, police said.
The block, between South Roxboro Street and Weaver Street, includes the Bell Yeager Freewill Baptist Church, the Agape & Power Deliverance Ministry and a few houses.
Yates was found outside a convenience store at the corner of East Cornwallis and South Roxboro, police said.
