‘This is garbage’: Durham Bulls unhappy with MLB’s list of best baseball movies
The greatest baseball movie of all time might be something to debate.
But not in Durham.
So when Major League Baseball asked on Twitter for people’s go-to baseball movie, then narrowed the results down to four, the Bulls and their fans were not amused.
MLB tweeted a poll with the top four films: Major League, The Natural, The Sandlot and Field of Dreams. As of Monday afternoon, The Sandlot had 46 percent of the vote as the best film.
“This is garbage,” the Durham team tweeted on Saturday, joined by many of its fans.

The Bulls’ tweet was retweeted more than 1,500 times by Monday afternoon and had been liked more than 6,100 times, attracting more than 200 responses – including one from a senator.
"I believe there ought to be a Constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter." And I believe "Bull Durham" is the best baseball movie.

.@MLB The Sandlot was a lame kids movie with a faux giant dog. Bull Durham is one of the most quotable MOVIES, much less BASEBALL movies of all time.

Bull Durham also spawned *other* iconic baseball movies.#BullDurham
