‘Self-serve dog wash’: Unleashed pet store opens at Southpoint mall with perks
JP and Amy Phinney launched their pet supply store, Unleashed, at the N.C. State Fairgrounds’ Raleigh Market in 2007.
It started with little more than “a table, display stand, garden umbrella, a girl and her dog,” they wrote on their website.
Sixteen years later, the husband-and-wife team have over 10 locations in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wilmington and Southport. Most recently, they opened a storefront at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham.
They’re located on the upper level in the former Zeeglegoo’s space near Finish Line and Macy’s.
Along with pet supplies, Unleashed offers services like a “self-serve dog wash” and free nutritional consultations.
