The town of Garner is getting a little sweeter.

Two dessert shops are opening soon in the same shopping center.

But, everything in moderation. A new gym just down the road is coming soon, so there’s a place to burn some calories.

Here are details on the three forthcoming businesses.

Nothing Bundt Cakes & Crumbl Cookies expand in Garner

Popular dessert chains Nothing Bundt Cakes and Crumbl Cookies are opening new locations in Garner.

Both locations will be at White Oak Crossing, near Highway 70 and Interstate 40. The shopping center houses Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Chick-fil-A, among other retailers.

Nothing Bundt Cakes, which will open at 126 Shenstone Blvd. (next to Best Buy), is “coming soon,” according to the location’s website.

While the company has not announced a specific opening date, Jeannie Margraves, a property manager for White Oak Crossing, told The News & Observer in an email that the store is expecting to open in October.

Founded in 1997, the Texas-based company has more than 600 franchise and corporate bakeries, including in Raleigh, Morrisville, Durham, Holly Springs and Wake Forest. It specializes in large, personal-sized and mini bundt cakes in a variety of flavors, such as red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, lemon and chocolate chocolate chip.

Crumbl Cookies is also coming to the shopping center, but Margraves did not know an opening date because the store is still under construction.

The chain is known for its weekly rotating menu of specialty cookies, with flavors inspired by seasons and popular desserts. Founded in Utah in 2017, the chain has now expanded to more than 850 locations. Crumbl has Triangle stores in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Chapel Hill and Durham.

Fit4Life Health Club coming soon to Garner

A North Carolina-based gym is opening its newest location in the Triangle.

Fit4Life Health Clubs will open at 1400 Timber Drive East in Garner, just south of White Oak Crossing, in a former REX medical facility. According to the location’s website, the gym will open in December. The gym could not be immediately reached by The N&O for more information.

The health club, which has more than a dozen locations, including in Raleigh and Clayton, is open 24/7 and offers personal training, group classes and other amenities.
