Popular boot retailer opening new Triangle store this fall. Here’s where
A popular retailer known for western boots is coming soon to a Triangle shopping center.
Boot Barn, which sells clothing and accessories for men, women and kids in addition to footwear, is the newest tenant at Durham’s Patterson Place, located on Witherspoon Boulevard. The shopping center is located near US 15-501 and Interstate 40.
The store is expected to open in fall 2024, taking the space vacated by furniture store Furniture Bell, TradeMark Properties announced in a news release. TradeMark oversees leasing for Patterson Place.
At Boot Barn, customers will find well-known Western wear brands such as Justin, Ariat, Lucchese, Wrangler and Stetson.
Boot Barn will lease more than 23,000 square feet of space, joining anchor tenants Home Depot, Big Lots, Total Wine, DSW, PetSmart and Kohl’s. The space formerly occupied by anchor retailer Bed Bath & Beyond remains vacant, but a search for a new tenant is underway.
In May, Boot Barn President and CEO Jim Conroy said the company had recently opened its 400th store and had expanded to 45 states. The retailer plans to open 60 new stores in the fiscal year ending March 29, 2025, an increase of five stores compared to fiscal year 2024.
Third Boot Barn in the Triangle
The Patterson Place store marks Boot Barn’s debut in Durham, but it’s not the company’s first Triangle store. The retailer already has stores in the following cities:
- Raleigh: 6204 Glenwood Ave.
- Garner: 2610 Timber Drive
Elsewhere in the state, Boot Barn has locations in Burlington, Concord, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Greenville, Jacksonville, Monroe, Pineville and Winston-Salem.
