RDU resumes nonstop flights to Paris for the first time since the pandemic began
Raleigh-Durham International Airport has resumed nonstop flights to Paris after a two-year hiatus.
Delta Airlines departed for Charles de Gaulle Airport Monday for the first time since March 2020. The route is “a favorite among leisure and business travelers,” the airport said in a statement, and gives flyers easy access to several destinations across the European continent.
“This is an exciting day at RDU,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, in a press release. “We appreciate Delta’s commitment to bringing this signature destination back to the Research Triangle.”
RDU now offers six international flights, including three across the Atlantic: Paris, London and Reykjavik, Iceland.
Delta will fly the Paris route four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
