Johnston County diners now have a new place to grab breakfast and lunch.

The Benson restaurant, at 12524 NC Highway 210, adds to Triangle locations in Apex, Clayton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs and Raleigh.

Eggs Up Grill, a South Carolina-based chain, just opened its newest Triangle location in Benson. It is the latest breakfast-focused eatery to open along NC-210 near Interstate 40, joining Waffle House, Dunkin’ and New York Bagel & Deli.

The restaurant is the first for franchise owners Cory Taylor and Laura Cornell, who are married. They are looking to open additional Eggs Up locations moving forward.

“From the moment we discovered Eggs Up Grill, it felt like a natural fit for us and for Benson,” Cornell said in a news release. “We love being around people, and this restaurant allows us to create a place where families can reconnect and neighbors feel welcome.”

Eggs Up Grill serves a wide range of classic breakfast and lunch dishes.

Diners can choose from plates with eggs, breakfast meats, biscuits, toast and home fries; omelets and scrambles; French toast, waffles and pancakes; benedicts; and breakfast tacos and sandwiches.

The restaurant also makes lighter options, such as yogurt, oatmeal and avocado toast.

For lunch, Eggs Up Grill offers cold and hot sandwiches, burgers and salads.

Most breakfast and lunch entrees cost $11-$14.

Kids can order a cheeseburger, grilled cheese, chicken tenders or breakfast plate, all priced around $6.
