A popular all-day cafe is expanding in the Triangle with a new location in Wake County.

Flying Biscuit Cafe has signed a 10-year lease for a 3,753-square-foot space in the Oakview Commons shopping center in Holly Springs.

The restaurant, known for its breakfast, brunch and lunch, has several other locations in the Triangle, including in Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary and Chapel Hill.

It is expected to open in Holly Springs by summer 2026, according to a press release.

“We are excited to bring a true brunch experience to Holly Springs and look forward to welcoming our guests soon,” a representative for franchise owner Astra Ventures, LLC said in the press release. “With the family-friendly atmosphere of Oakview Commons and the growing local demand for daytime dining experiences beyond traditional breakfast and lunch, we’re confident Flying Biscuit will be a great addition to the community.”

Oakview Commons is home to businesses including Golf Hour, Image Studios, Thanks A Latte, Arita Ramen and Sushi and Switch Craft. Virge Yoga, Grain and Berry, and Oakview Public House are expected to open there soon.

Flying Biscuit Cafe will be located at 161 Oakview Commons Drive, Suite 105.

Founded 32 years ago in Atlanta, Flying Biscuit Cafe serves morning favorites such as breakfast sandwiches, French toast, omelets, chicken and waffles, and eggs Benedict.

The menu offers vegetarian and vegan options, including oatmeal, avocado toast and acai bowls.

Besides breakfast foods, Flying Biscuit Cafe caters to the lunch crowd with burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas and chicken tenders.

The restaurant also has a bar, mixing up traditional cocktails such as mimosas and bloody marys in addition to signature cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and espresso drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos.

Menu prices:

  • At the Raleigh location, at 2016 Clark Ave. in Village District, most breakfast entrees range from $11-$16, according to prices on the restaurant’s online menu. Burgers and sandwiches cost $12-$13.
  • Bottomless coffee is about $3, and lattes start around $5 at the Village District location. Most cocktails are in the $8-$10 range.

The Wake County town of Holly Springs has been growing in recent decades. Its population was around 10,000 in 2000, but as of the 2020 Census, it was more than 41,000.

This growth is spurring new housing developments, while large biotech and pharmaceutical companies such as Genentech and Fujifilm are sprouting up in the area, promising hundreds of jobs.
