A super-sized Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week kicks off this week, showcasing dozens of opportunities to try out a new spot.

Restaurant week runs from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, August 3 and features more than 45 restaurants, cafes, pizzerias and noodle shops.

Organized by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA), restaurant week offers diners deals on lunch, dinner and drinks at many of the city’s most popular restaurants.

How does Restaurant Week work?

Restaurants are offering lunch and dinner specials, plus some three-course prix fixe menus, drink specials and general discounts.

Lunch prices range from $11 meals to $25 three course feasts.

Dinner prices range from $15 to $45.

Drink specials include nightly deals or signature drinks.

When is Restaurant Week?

DRA organizes restaurant week to give local restaurants a boost in the steamy summer doldrums when business is slow.

The push gives diners an extra incentive to try out one (or several) of the dozens of downtown restaurants they haven’t made it to yet.

Officials said this year’s Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week features 85% participation from downtown restaurants.
