Cary-based healthy eating restaurant opens a new Triangle location. Here’s where

A homegrown healthy eating brand with a major following just opened it largest location yet.

Salad and bowl restaurant Diced just opened its latest Wake County location at 321 N. Main St. in Holly Springs.

Founded by champion collegiate cheerleader Michelle Woodward, Diced launched in Cary a decade ago. Holly Springs marks Diced’s fifth location.

“We’re excited to finally open in Holly Springs and serve a community that’s been asking us to come here for years,” said Michelle Woodward, Diced’s founder and owner, in a press release. “This location is special too because we’ve been able to build out a full prep kitchen in the back, dedicated to making our cooked food and house-made dressings fresh every single day for all five locations. It helps us keep things consistent and lets our team stay focused on delivering the freshest, best-tasting food possible.”

At more than 3,000 square feet, Holly Springs is Diced’s largest restaurant and its first free-standing location. Last year Diced opened its first downtown Raleigh location on Fayetteville Street, near the state capitol building.

The first free-standing Diced location is open in Holly Springs at 321 N. Main Street. This is the fifth Diced location in the Triangle.

Diced joins Happy & Hale as the Triangle’s two most prominent healthy-eating brands, competing with major national restaurants like Sweetgreen and Chopt.

The new Diced will have 30 seats in its dining room and will soon add an outdoor patio. In picking the Wake County suburb for its latest location, owner Woodward said Diced was meeting its fans where they live.

“Holly Springs is by far, by a landslide, our biggest fan base,” Woodward said. “We’ve been close on a space there three times. So finally we made it our mission that Holly Springs is next, no matter what.”
