Potbelly locations in the Triangle
Since opening in Chicago in 1977, Potbelly has expanded to hundreds of shops across 30 states.
In the Triangle, Potbelly has three restaurants in Cary, Morrisville and Durham. North Carolina’s first Potbelly opened in Charlotte in February 2017, and the first in the Triangle opened in March 2017 in Morrisville.
In 2023, The N&O spoke with local franchise owners Mohit Kishore and Tulshi Bhakar, who had plans to open nine Potbelly locations within seven years. The locations had not been determined at the time, but Kishore told The N&O that most of the new stores would be in Wake and Durham counties, but all would be within Wake, Durham, Orange and Chatham counties.
Potbelly’s menu includes the classics like Italian, chicken club and roast beef sandwiches, along with the signature option, “A Wreck,” made with turkey, ham, roast beef, salami and Swiss cheese. Toasty sandwiches can be customized, topped with items such as hot peppers, caramelized onion and sauces.
Besides sandwiches, Potbelly serves salads, soups, macaroni and cheese, cookies and milkshakes.
