These NC restaurants are among the top date night spots in the US, according to Yelp
Love is in the air — and at several North Carolina restaurants named some of the most romantic across the country.
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Yelp revealed the Top 100 Date Night Restaurants in the U.S., based on total volume and ratings of reviews.
Of all the delicious “swoon-worthy spots” to wine and dine, five North Carolina restaurants from Asheville, Durham, Charlotte and Greensboro were ranked among the top fan-favorite spots:
Chesnut (no. 73)
Location: 48 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801
Cuisine: American
Chesnut has been serving up “creative cuisine and craft cocktails” in downtown Asheville since 2012. With a new monthly dinner menu of handcrafted foods, the local restaurant serves an ever-changing lineup of smoked meats, locally-sourced vegetables and more.
M Sushi (no. 74)
Location: 311 Holland St, Durham, NC 27701
Cuisine: Japanese
M Sushi is nestled in downtown Durham offering traditional Japanese cuisine mixed with a taste of other worldwide flavors. The local sushi bar, with minimalist decor and dim lighting, is one of the top sushi spots in the Triangle for traditional rolls, specialty rolls and small plates.
Yunta (no. 76)
Location: 2201 South Blvd Ste 130, Charlotte, NC 28203
Cuisine: Nikkei
From the team behind Viva Chicken is Charlotte’s first restaurant with a Nikkei menu — a mix of Japanese culinary techniques with Peruvian flavors. A hidden gem inspired by the 1920s, The Cellar at Duckworth’s is designed with a “speakeasy, prohibition-era” vibe in the heart of the city center. The uptown Charlotte underground restaurant has a chef-driven menu of gastropub fare with specialty beers and signature cocktails.
