USA TODAY readers voted this pretty-in-pink Triangle scoop shop among the best indie/local ice cream shops in the United States.
Andia’s Ice Cream, with three locations in the Triangle, ranked #8 out of 10 shops across the country. First place went to An’s Dry Cleaning in San Diego, California.
This is Andia’s second year in a row making a 10Best ice cream list. Last year, Andia’s ranked #4 (and Raleigh’s Two Roosters ranked #8).
“Our only mission is to make the world a happier place one scoop at a time, and you all allow us to make that happen every day. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,” the Andia’s team wrote to Instagram.

The husband-and-wife team, Andia and George Xouris, ground the scoop shop in family history and guiding values of community and “parea,” Greek for good company and friendship.
The first signature flavor on the menu is baklava, a tribute to the family’s Greek heritage. Rose pistachio, Andia’s favorite flavor, pays homage to the ice cream of Andia Xouris’ childhood. The store has also featured an extra virgin olive oil flavor, next to menu staples like butter toffee popcorn and double dark chocolate.
