As the new normal stretches on for North Carolina, restaurants are beginning to see takeout and to-go orders as more of a business model than a stop-gap.
North Carolina dining rooms and bars have been closed for two months now, and dozens of businesses have evolved, innovated and pivoted to survive. Some have sold groceries, some pre-mixed spirit-less cocktails, some meal kits for the week. But takeout remains the most common way to support your local restaurants.
A number of restaurants have started to roll out a to-go operation and others are resuming service after a break.
