Orange Cat Wakes Mom Bright and Early for the Most Hilarious Reason

Cats have their own special ways of communicating with their favorite people. Whether it's meowing like the house is on fire for more food or purring when they finally get whatever it is they were after, it's hard to deny they're really good at making things happen. For an Orange Cat named Skwinkle, waking Mom before the sun comes up is a priority-because he has something really cool he *needs* to show her!

In Skwinkle's defense, 6 a.m. seems like a purrfectly acceptable time to start playing, and he was born ready. The funny kitty must've felt he needed to get some solid playtime in before the day officially begins, so taking his favorite toy to get it going is pretty smart!

Fetch is a dog's game, and he knows he has to practice if he's ever going to be part of the next World Cup. It's a skill he loves sharing with Mom (24/7/365)! That, plus being orange means Skwinkle's bar for early or normal or really any other rules cats abide by, don't refer to him.

To be fair, Skwinkle usually has to share the spotlight, even when it comes to spending time with Mom. With sister, Tofu, being an internet star for having a gold tooth drip, the orange boy has to make his needs known somehow. Fetch just happens to be the way of his people!

The good news is, Skwinkle loves Tofu... a little too much!

Why Cats Wake up So Early

As comical as Skwinkle's morning shenanigans seem, cats are instinctively crepuscular, meaning they're pre-programmed to be active at dawn and dusk (when in the wild0. Even for those in perfectly domesticated settings, they may not need to hunt prey, but they might be hungry and want attention, or they're bored and need someone to entertain them.

Skwinkle must love spending time with his mom so much that he couldn't wait another minute to play. If anything, it's a sign that she really is his person.
